Introduction to Conscious Leadership

Introduction to Conscious Leadership

We are so excited to welcome you into this transformative journey with us!

Over the next four weeks, we’ll gather weekly on Zoom in an interactive and engaging classroom to explore The 4 Questions of Conscious Leadership. Each session will introduce one of the questions, guiding you through experiential practices and real-time Q&A to deepen your understanding.
Between sessions, you can return to your course page to find practices, recordings, and resources to support your learning and help you bring these concepts to life in your own world.

This space is just for you and your fellow participants, so please keep this page private. Here, you’ll find weekly recordings, resources, and materials to support your journey.
Let’s dive in and co-create a rich and meaningful experience together!

And we're off!

Course Recordings and Resources

Week 1 : Where am I?

  • Click to Download this PDF, which will serve as our handout workbook for the course. We recommend printing them out (double-sided) so you can write on them. And, of course, feel free to work off of digital copies.

Set the number of reminders based on how many times you are genuinely willing to pause, take a breath, and check if you're above-the-line or below-the-line.
    ‍or
  • Smartphone Wallpaper: Create a custom wallpaper with the phrase "Where am I?" so you see it every time you unlock your phone.
  • Calendar Alerts: Add recurring events to your calendar with the question, prompting a mindful pause during your day.

Week 2 : Am I willing to accept myself for being where I am?

Homework

Practice asking yourself, "Am I willing to accept myself?" throughout the day

  • Using an App: Download Mind Jogger (iOS) or Random Reminder App (Android) and set random reminders throughout the day with the phrase, "Am I willing to accept myself?" Set the number of reminders based on how many times you are genuinely willing to pause, take a breath, and check if you're above-the-line or below-the-line.
  • Use conscious breath. Breathe in for four seconds, out for four seconds and do this four times. Then ask yourself "Can I accept myself for being where I am?"
  • Try conscious movement. Before you ask this question, get up and shake or move your body, take a walk or simply move from one room to another room. The key here is to shift your physical body to interrupt reactivity.
  • Struggling with this question? Try "Borrowing" some acceptance from a loved one. Think of someone in your life who treated you kindly and met your fear with acceptance in a moment you were scared or below the line. If you can find an example, imagine treating yourself with that same degree of compassion and acceptance.
