Through Me, An Exit is Happening

Create your own user feedback survey

At CLG, we talk about life happening TO ME, BY ME, THROUGH ME, and AS ME

We’re committed to leading from a THROUGH ME state; we pay attention to what life asks and then pull on the courage to respond to the call.

Over the past several months, life has been calling me in a new direction.

After deep reflection and thoughtful discussions with my partners and team, it’s become clear that it is time for me to step away from The Conscious Leadership Group.

After 13 years of building and evolving this organization with people I adore, I officially exited at the end of September.

CLG will continue to thrive, expand, and deepen its impact in the coming years.

I’ll cheer them on—and keep pointing leaders their way—as they evolve their models and continue bringing profound transformation to individuals and organizations.

I don’t know what lies ahead for me. I’m taking a leap of faith and trusting the unknown. My practice is to rest, be patient, and listen for where my whole body yes calls me.

I’m leaving CLG, but not the conversation. I’m devoted to our shared commitment to create a more beautiful world by bringing awareness to shift out of threat into trust.

To hear more about this transition and CLG’s exciting next chapter, watch the video message below from CLG partners, Jim Dethmer and Erica Schreiber.

With love and gratitude,

Diana Chapman

Through Me Leadership: A New Way Forward

As Diana steps into her next chapter, her decision reflects a key principle of THROUGH ME leadership—trusting the unfolding of life and responding to its call with courage. THROUGH ME, leaders ask, “What wants to happen through me?” This question invites a deeper surrender, moving beyond personal control and embracing the flow of life’s possibilities.

In the THROUGH ME space, leaders cooperate with life’s unfolding, allowing themselves to be vessels for something bigger than themselves. Whether it’s an idea for transforming healthcare, a vision for a new software product, or a drive to create a more beautiful world, the practice is about letting go of attachment and trusting that life’s unfolding brings power, flow, and abundance. The experience of wonder and awe becomes part of everyday leadership. THROUGH ME, leadership shows up not as a forceful drive but as a graceful response to what life calls forward.

Diana’s journey with and through CLG is a testament to this approach. As she steps back, she creates space for the next iteration of her leadership to emerge—one where she listens, rests, and follows her whole body yes. As CLG continues to thrive, the THROUGH ME philosophy will guide our evolution, empowering leaders to co-create with life.

Going Deeper

Diana’s transition is helping us all double down on our conscious leadership practices. Here are some resources that feel especially relevant right now:

  • The Four Ways of Leading - This model shows the states of consciousness leaders operate in: To Me, By Me, Through Me, and As Me.
  • The Art of Whole Body Visioning - This 2023 article from Diana reveals how she finds her deeper inspiration. A powerful vision should come from your head, heart, and gut. Learn to look for an embodied excitement that you can feel from head to toe.
  • Connecting the Dots: Grief and Impact - Erica’s 2018 advice about how crucial grief is to unlocking your full impact as a leader is relevant to most leaders right now. Give it a read, then try Jim’s grief meditation linked within.
  • What Does it Look Like to Feel Emotions Consciously? - Jim’s 2022 advice about feeling feelings all the way through is helpful through any big change. We’ve all been practicing this.
